Explaining how to read a book seems silly. To many of us, it comes as naturally as breathing. Still, we aren’t born literate, so every reader has to learn how at some point in time.

There are many ways of teaching reading and a deeper appreciation of books. That is not the goal of this section. The goal of this section is pure entertainment. So read, and enjoy.

  1. Select a book: Having a book is crucial to reading it.
  2. Find a place to read: Preferably a place comfortable, quiet, and free from harm.
  3. Open the book: Spread the cover left to right with the pages facing you.
  4. Begin reading: Look at the first word of the book.
  5. Keep reading: Look at the second through second-to-last words of the book, consecutively. Unless of course, the book is terrible. In which case you should stop reading that book and find another one worth reading.
  6. Finish reading: Look at the last word of the book.
  7. Close the book: Bring the two covers back together.
  8. Set book away: Return the book to your bookshelf, local library or closed bookstore.
  9. Repeat: Locate another book and repeat steps two through eight.
