Watching movies is kind of the opposite of reading. Watching is passive, while reading is active. Films involve moving images and sound, while reading is traditionally text-based. But there are elements of reading hidden within some movies.
The best example is reading subtitles on foreign films. This means that your eyes are constantly flicking from the middle of the screen to the bottom, where the translated text is displayed. Some people don’t like these movies for this reason. However, it does open up a whole new group of films that you wouldn’t otherwise get to watch.
